Designed to be handed out to each student, these posters are printed on both sides and will help spark creativity and develop planning skills and reading comprehension. Your students will fall in love with this easy to follow multi-use strategy train. I can be used for Reading all the way down to Pre-K to show students how authors plan their stories as they write. It can also help students analyze state samples of writing, enabling them to imitate focused, organized, and well developed papers. Laminate this classroom set of 25 posters for years and years of repeated use. In the trains, a plan for their introduction is written in the engine, their body in the cars, and their conclusion in the caboose. Having only four cars in the body forces the students to be more focused in their planning, and ultimately, in the actual composition. On the back the students can plan their papers more in depth, using the eight W's, description in the introduction, and the acronym H.O.A.R.S.E. for the body to have papers with more voice. H represents something important that Happens in the story; O stands for Opinions (what characters are thinking about during the event); A and R are for the Actions & Reactions (the things the characters do during the event); S is for Say/Speak (what the characters talk about during the event); and finally, E represents the Emotions that are expressed during the event. This is an excellent organized way to remind students to include voice as they write more creative, interesting papers. ***Each letter aslo has a Spanish meaning for the Spanish set of All Aboard! posters. The last part of the back uses a series of feelings and body parts along with change to have conclusions that add depth to the paper. Feelings - how the characters feel at the end; Feet - where the characters go. Then the students use their body parts to make sentences that best reflect what they are going through now that the story is over. Posters are 11" x 17", heavy 80lb stock and come in a set of 25.
***Watermarked pill bottle and "Reverse Side" will not appear on actual posters. Reverse side will also appear in portrait view and fill the entire backside.
