One of the problems I've noticed in grading hundreds of expository essays, is that students tend to write about the same ideas as everyone else and have the same explanations as well!  The problem with that is that the graders at the state level have to grade hundreds of papers per day per person.  Using this excellent poster will help the kids easily get the reader's attention using the terms in the W.H.I.S.T.L.E.  as they plan and write rough drafts/final copies in the expository purpose of writing.    HOORAY!  No more boring essays!
